Alexia Grammenidou
Born 1996 in Patras, Greece. Lives and works in Zurich.
INTRODUCTION
Alexia was born in Patras in 1996. She graduated from the School of Fine Arts – Department of Visual & Applied Arts of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2022 and she specializes in painting. She currently resides in Zurich.

ARTBOOK PRESENTATION
On the day of the opening we will also have the pleasure to present the new artbook of our group Art of Life Collective, which we created in collaboration with Professor Dr. Vasilis Adrahtas, entitled “Consciousness’ Journey to the Transcendent – Tuning the Finite to Infinity”.

BIO
Through the course of her life and the development of her artistic expression, art gradually became for her a means of uniting everyday life with spiritual experience and led her to connect with people who had common pursuits, including her teacher. So, through years of training in the Yoga Science system, she has been exploring the expansion of consciousness, something that deeply inspires her artistic research.
In her work, she focuses on the human nature and on landscape, using oil and pencil as her main media. She is attracted by the relations between the body-site and the living Nature, as well as by the human face as a presence unaffected by time and memory.
Her artworks are linked through her fascination and focus on the one, omnipresent Life that lies inside every manifested form. As a result, in her images a study takes shape, that deals with the existence of something changeless and consecutive, hidden inside the fragile and ever-changing.
Since 2022, she has become one of the founding members of the Art of Life Collective, a group of six artists working together and organising multidisciplinary art events in Greece & abroad. For the group’s projects she has the role of Content Editor. The art team explores the influence of art on human perception and its capability to elevate a person’s experience of living. Their events include three art exhibitions and the publication of two Art Books. In recent years they have also directed their artistic research to an evolving performance.
In painting I search for the source of phenomena, the essence that makes what I see to be what it Is. The Logos inside existence. Not as a response to the question “why existence?” but as a statement of existence. In its depiction, it is the expression of the essence, the way I perceive it.
