YOGA SCIENCE RETREAT

Ancient-to-Present myths & cycladic treasures

16 - 22 MAY, 2025

Naxos, Greece

Naxos island, located in the heart of the Cyclades, calls us to remember the origin of the Self during a 7-day Yoga Science Retreat experience. In this sacred place, where the goddess Demeter was worshipped as a symbol of Fertility and Abundance, let us also discover and pay tribute to the vitality of the Apollonian and Dionysian aspects.

During the retreat, we will explore and honor these two principles that exist within us

– the male and the female –

experiencing each day with awareness and mindfulness.

The indicative daily program includes morning yoga, pranayama and meditation practices, swimming in the sea at the private beach in front of the villas,

freshly cooked vegeterian meals, as well as free time in silence and introspection in order to immerse ourselves into the vibrant scenery.

More Activities:

Spiritual Offering:

Connect with your inner fertility and abundance, during a visit to the Temple of Demeter.

Artistic ceremony:

Let us become witnesses to the embodiment of ancient-to-present myths.

Ancient Naxian Rituals:

Calm your mind during a meditative walk up to the prehistoric acropolis of the island, in order to meet with the ancient spirits of the first humans that inhabited the island.

Dionysian Rituals:

On the last day we honor the god Dionysus, first at his sanctuary (Iria) and later in the afternoon we visit the vineyards of Tranampelo, for a private event where we will tour around the vines, taste exquisite Naxian wine, accompanied by food, live greek music and dance.

Tranampelo Event - Private Greek Glenti *

During this private celebration, you will learn everything about the art of winemaking in Greece, tour around a local organic vineyard, taste amazing wines paired with delicious food and enjoy an unforgettable evening with live greek music!

The winemaker will take you on an afternoon walk, show you all the interesting spots around his vineyard and share his vision for sustainable winemaking. Get all the information you need about local varieties and methods of production.
Learn about local winemaking on the island of Dionysus, organic farming techniques and how local winemakers try to achieve sustainability and to enhance biodiversity in the area.

After your walk, a set table will be waiting for you, filled with Naxian cheeses, homemade bread, seasonal vegetables, olives and a variety of products from the garden.

Then, savor a delightfully filling food and wine dinner, consisting of 5 wines & 1 spirit and paired with 4 courses: starter, salad, main course, (vegetarian, meat or fish) and traditional dessert.

Top your night off while dancing to the rhythms of vintage greek music, courtesy of one of the island’s best folklore musicians!

Immerse yourself into the Greek culture and enjoy
our country’s hospitality tradition at its best!

Morning Meditation

Our 7-day experience concludes the next morning with a morning circle-meditation as the sun rises. Having united both Mother Nature and Spirit within us, we rise as a new consciousness.

Let us offer the work of our lives as an art in a place full of Light and Abundance.

Let us share Beauty to receive Beauty!

FACILITATORS - Yoga Science Teachers

Alkisti

Alkisti has been living in Naxos since 2022. She discovers the beauty of the place by carving the Naxian marble. While living in nature and observing its rhythm, she witnesses the light that takes shape in the landscape, sea and marble. The mysteries of nature and life are revealed in a quiet mind that unites the inside with the outside.

She invites us to exprerience the powerful presence of being, where treasures of the past are present within us.

Eirini

Eirini has been living in Porto since 2020. By traveling between Greece and Portugal, she explores the concept of place as the subtle body that carries consciousness.
